InvictaCon is an annual event in its fifteenth edition, organized by the Porto Boardgamers Group, and aims to promote modern board games among the general public, while at the same time bringing together several enthusiasts from all over the country.
It is a free participation and entry event.
Anyone can participate, simply by showing up at Sala d’Ouro at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Gondomar on the 8th, 9th and 10th of December. You don’t need to bring games or even know how to play them. There will be a team available to teach the hundreds of games that will be available.
At this event, you will be able to play many different games, with particular emphasis on modern strategy games, but without leaving aside the classics or any other. It is also an invitation for designers to present and test their games with the public.
In addition to pure abstract games, games will be available on the most diverse themes, from economics to war, including the development of civilizations, horse racing, cars and other vehicles, various sports, including football, deduction, logic, conflicts religious, political and other types, elections, negotiation, transport, diplomacy, environment, health, even the most absurd, such as ostrich racing or collecting worthless antiquities…
It’s a big world of fun, for everyone, regardless of gender or age, that will be available to be experienced.
