Please join us for our next Porto Kind Event – A Cocktail Gathering at The Yeatman Hotel.

The Event

We invite you to join us at the beautiful Yeatman Hotel for an evening Cocktail Gathering where we will enjoy the best views over Porto and the River Douro while sipping drinks and eating a few nibbles.

Tickets are €45 per person (€10 from each ticket will be donated to this month’s charity – APF)

Included in your ticket will be:

• Water
• Orange juice
• 2 x speciality signature cocktails with Port wine and Tonic water
• Chips
• Variety of savouries

Everyone is welcome so please feel free to invite your friends from outside of the Community to join us. It will be a wonderful evening where we will raise money for charity while enjoying great company and a stunning location!

There are limited spaces for this event (35 in total) so get in quick to book your place.

A Little More About This Month’s Charity

The Association for Family Planning (APF) is a nationwide organisation that was founded in 1967, their pioneering work made significant contributions to social, legal and political change at a time when families, especially women, had little access to education or support.

What they do:

Initially APF focused on providing family planning advice but as times changed, they adapted to the needs of the community. Today, their work is focused on education, training, counselling and support services that include:

• Health care and social support in the area of sexology and marital counselling, family mediation, parental counselling and psychology consultations
• Support for victims of sexual and gender-based violence, including gender equality, female genital mutilation, forced marriages, domestic violence and dating violence
• Support for victims of human trafficking
• The APF Training Centre, which offers a wide portfolio of technical scientific courses, created to respond to the training needs of different target audiences.
• Additionally, the APF has successfully initiated projects in Matosinhos and Vila Nova de Gaia to support the special needs of the Roma Communities.

Your contributions will help change the lives of the most vulnerable people in our communities, and enrich the quality of living for families.

How to Pay and Donate

To pay for your tickets please MBWay Becky Walz (+351 913 304 192). Make sure to include your phone number and ‘Yeatman’ in the description. A WhatsApp message confirming payment will then be sent to you. This confirmation will be your ticket into the event. Tickets are not confirmed until payment has been received and there will be no refunds once payment has been made as Porto Kind was required to pre-pay the event. If you find you are no longer able to attend, you may find someone else to purchase your ticket from you instead – please contact us to help you with this.

If you cannot pay by MBWay please contact Becky or Jennie Hardware to arrange payment.
